Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 stalk celery
- 1/2 stalk carrot
- 2 sprigs sweet basil
- 1 bunch parsley
- 4 Tbsp. oil
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 24 oz. tomato sauce (takes 3 small cans)
- 8 oz. tomato paste (takes 1 small can)
- 4 tsp. Wyler's chicken flavor instant bouillon
Method
- Chop onion, celery, basil and parsley into very fine pieces. Saute the veggies in 4 tablespoons oil until golden.
- Add the ground beef, then add tomato sauce and paste.
- Fill one tomato sauce can and the tomato paste can with water, then pour into pan. Add chicken bouillon to taste.
- Stir often over a medium heat, adding some black pepper.
- Sauce should be fairly thick, not runny. Is enough to cover 2 pounds of pasta.
