Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c. quick cooking oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. raisins
  • 3/4 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/3 c. molasses
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Method

  • Cream butter and sugars; beat in eggs, molasses and vanilla. Mix remaining ingredients together except raisins and nuts.
  • Stir to blend.
  • Add raisins and nuts and drop by teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet.
  • Bake in preheated 350° oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • These cookies stay soft.
