Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lb. beef short ribs
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp. molasses
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 tsp. liquid smoke
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
Method
- Sprinkle salt and pepper on all sides of meat and put in a 3-quart casserole.
- In a small pan, combine tomato sauce with molasses, vinegar, liquid smoke and onion; bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes.
- Pour over ribs.
- Cover and bake in slow oven at 275° for 3 to 4 hours or until very tender.
- Spoon off excess fat.
