Ingredients
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 3/4 c. vegetable shortening
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. water
Method
- Combine flour, sugar and salt; cut shortening into mixture with a fork.
- In a separate bowl, beat vinegar, egg and water. Pour into flour mixture and stir with a fork until mixture is moistened.
- Shape into a ball, wrap in wax paper and chill for 15 minutes.
- Roll out on a cold pastry board or between two pieces of waxed paper.
- Bake at 425° or until golden brown.
- Good crust!
