Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 3 egg whites
- salt
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
Method
- Mix cornstarch, sugar and water and cook together until clear, then set aside.
- Add a bit of salt to egg whites and whip until foamy or standing in peaks at which time you add the mixture of cornstarch, slowly.
- Continue beating until creamy, then add sugar gradually beating again until creamy.
- Pile on pie and seal all edges.
- Bake 30 minutes at 325° or until golden brown.
- Does not weep or get watery.
