Ingredients

  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. fruit or fruit pie filling

Method

  • Mix flour, sugar and milk in medium size mixing bowl, stirring only enough to thoroughly mix ingredients.
  • Pour mixture into a deep 9-inch glass pie dish.
  • Pour (do not stir in) melted butter or margarine evenly over the top of the mixture.
  • Add fruit (without liquids) or pie filling, distributing it evenly over the top.
  • Do not stir in fruit.
  • At this point, you have 3 layers made up of the flour, sugar and milk mixture, the melted butter and the fruit.
