Ingredients
- 2 yellow cake layers
- 1 can vanilla frosting
- pink or red food coloring
- 1 bag Skittles Smoothie Mix candies
Method
- Bake cake according to recipe or label directions in two 8- or 9-inch pans; let cool completely.
- Stir frosting in medium bowl to soften.
- Add a few drops of food coloring; stir well to incorporate.
- Add additional drops if needed to reach desired color.
- Place a cake layer on a serving platter.
- Spread about 1/2 cup frosting on cake.
- Top with second cake layer.
- Cover top and sides of cake with remaining frosting.
- To make flowers, place a Skittle on the cake.
- Surround the Skittle with 6 more, in a color that is different from the center one.
- Cover the cake as desired with Skittle flowers.
