Ingredients
- 2 c. scalded milk
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 Tbsp. artificial sweetener
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- pinch of salt
Method
- Add well-beaten yolks to hot milk; mix well.
- Place
- in top part
- of double boiler.
- Cook until liquid coats
- spoon. Cool quickly and add salt and artificial sweetener.
- Beat
- egg whites until stiff.
- Add 4 tablespoons of powdered
- sugar, one at a time,
- beating after each addition. Pour
- custard
- into dessert dishes.
- Put
- egg whites on top of each.
- Garnish with your favorite jam, jelly or fruit.
