Ingredients

  • 4 Large eggs
  • 1 14oz can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 12oz can of evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp
  • 1.25 cups of sugar

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Pour sugar in the flanera pan at medium heat. Stir constantly until it browns and becomes. Once desired color and consistency, tilt flanera and make sure that the all of the sides of the flanera are coasted with the caramel.
  • Mix the eggs and scramble vigorously. Strain scrambled eggs into a large mixing bowl. Add both cans of milk and mix very well. Slowly add vanilla extract into the bowl. Pour the mixture into the flanera.
  • Place the flanera in a deep baking dish or roaster, and fill the dish/roaster with hot water. Let it bake for 1 hour or when you can get a clean toothpick.
  • Cool in refrigerator for 6 hours. Before serving flip the flanera onto a plate.
