Ingredients
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 5 eggs
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cook sugar and water until light brown.
- Pour immediately into pan which is at least 2 inches deep and 8 inches wide.
- Cool. Blend flan ingredients in blender or food processor until no lumps.
- Pour into cooled flan pan.
- Put this into a larger pan with water in it about halfway up on smaller flan pan.
- Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool and unmold or serve from pan.
