- 1/2 lb. bacon, diced
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c. white vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. celery salt
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (16 oz.) can baked beans
- 1 (16 oz.) can limas, drained
- 1 (16 oz.) can butter beans, drained
- 1 (16 oz.) can chickpeas, drained
- 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
Method
- About 1 1/2 hours before serving, in a large skillet, over medium heat, fry bacon and onion until onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in brown sugar, vinegar, celery salt, garlic salt, dry mustard and salt.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.
