Ingredients

  • Fish 1 lb
  • Onions 2 (1 chopped)
  • Green chillies 6
  • Tomatoes 1 chopped
  • Cinnamon 1 medium size
  • Cloves 1 piece
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tbsp

Method

  • 1 Cut the fish into small pieces. Grind the first four ingredients
  • 2 In a pan heat oil and season with cinnamon and clove
  • 3 Add the onion and tomato and fry just a little bit(do not let it brown)
  • 4 Add the ground ingredients and fry well
  • 5 Add 1 cup water, close and let it boil for 6 to 7 mts
  • 6 Now add the fish pieces and let it cook on medium and heat for another 5 minutes
  • 7 Remove from the heat and here you can add 1/4 cup coconut milk and a few drops of fresh lemon juice, sprinkle cilantro and serve hot
