Ingredients

  • 28 oz tomato sauce x3
  • 16 oz can tomato paste
  • 28 oz can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 large can light red kidney beans
  • 2 lb stew meat
  • 2 lb hamburger meat
  • 3 medium onions
  • 1 medium red bell pepper
  • 1 medium green bell pepper
  • 3 packages chili powder
  • 16 oz warm water
  • 2 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 medium bag of shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Method

  • In large pot on low heat add tomato paste and let it warm up while stirring (abt 3-4 mins)
  • Add chili powder and water keep stirring
  • Add tomato sauce mix well
  • Add sugar to sauce
  • Add diced tomatoes
  • Turn heat to simmer... stir occasionally.
  • Chop up onions and both red and green peppers
  • In a large pan fry up hamburger meat and stew meat also adding onions and peppers
  • When done do not drain add to sauce mix well
  • Let simmer stirring occasionally for at least an hour and a half
  • Add kidney beans let simmer for at least 30 mins
  • After dished up top with shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
