- 28 oz tomato sauce x3
- 16 oz can tomato paste
- 28 oz can of diced tomatoes
- 1 large can light red kidney beans
- 2 lb stew meat
- 2 lb hamburger meat
- 3 medium onions
- 1 medium red bell pepper
- 1 medium green bell pepper
- 3 packages chili powder
- 16 oz warm water
- 2 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1 medium bag of shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Method
- In large pot on low heat add tomato paste and let it warm up while stirring (abt 3-4 mins)
- Add chili powder and water keep stirring
- Add tomato sauce mix well
- Add sugar to sauce
- Add diced tomatoes
- Turn heat to simmer... stir occasionally.
- Chop up onions and both red and green peppers
- In a large pan fry up hamburger meat and stew meat also adding onions and peppers
- When done do not drain add to sauce mix well
- Let simmer stirring occasionally for at least an hour and a half
- Add kidney beans let simmer for at least 30 mins
- After dished up top with shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
