Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. red chile pepper flakes, or to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. ginger, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1-1/4 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 lb. baby spinach
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1/4 c. rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar, or to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 2 limes, quartered, for garnish

Method

  • Prepare the grill.
  • In a small bowl, combine the red pepper flakes, garlic, ginger, oil, salt and pepper; mix together well. Coat the shrimp generously with the rub and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
