Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
- 4 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. pecan pieces
- pecan halves (optional)
Method
- Microwave butter in 2-quart micro-proof bowl at High (100%) for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until melted.
- Add cocoa.
- Stir until smooth.
- Stir in confectioners sugar and vanilla.
- Blend well (mixture wil be dry and crumbly).
- Stir in evaporated milk. Microwave at High (100%) for 1 minute; stir.
- Microwave an additional 1 minute or until mixture is hot.
- Stir mixture until smooth; add pecans.
- Pour into aluminum foil-lined 8 or 9-inch square pan.
- Garnish with pecan halves.
- Cover; chill until firm, about 2 hours.
- Cut into 1-inch squares.
- Store covered in refrigerator.
