Ingredients

  • 2 c. torn iceberg lettuce
  • 2 c. torn endive
  • 2 c. torn romaine
  • 1/3 to 1/2 c. salad dressing
  • 1 c. Swiss cheese, diced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 pkg. frozen green peas, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar

Method

  • To assemble, layer about 1/3 of the mixed salad greens in a bowl; dot with teaspoons of salad dressing.
  • Add 1/3 of the onion rings and peas.
  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper and sugar.
  • Add 1/3 of the cheese.
  • Repeat layers, seasoning each.
  • Cover and chill at least 2 hours.
  • Do not toss.
  • Serve as is.
  • Serves 8 to 10.
