Ingredients
- 2 c. torn iceberg lettuce
- 2 c. torn endive
- 2 c. torn romaine
- 1/3 to 1/2 c. salad dressing
- 1 c. Swiss cheese, diced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 pkg. frozen green peas, cooked and drained
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
Method
- To assemble, layer about 1/3 of the mixed salad greens in a bowl; dot with teaspoons of salad dressing.
- Add 1/3 of the onion rings and peas.
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper and sugar.
- Add 1/3 of the cheese.
- Repeat layers, seasoning each.
- Cover and chill at least 2 hours.
- Do not toss.
- Serve as is.
- Serves 8 to 10.
