Ingredients

  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 large Hershey bar
  • 2 c. walnuts, chopped

Method

  • Put 1 cup nuts on jelly roll pan.
  • In saucepan (use a heavy bottom pan to cook in).
  • Boil butter and sugar until the snap stage on candy thermometer, stirring constantly.
  • Pour over nuts.
  • Cool in refrigerator until hard.
  • Melt chocolate in double boiler. Spread over toffee.
  • Put rest of nuts on top of chocolate while still hot.
  • Cool.
  • Break apart.
