Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1 sm. apple, peeled, cored, and minced (1/2 c.)
  • 2 tbsp. raisins
  • 2 tbsp. finely minced onion
  • 1/8 teaspoon dry sage, crushed
  • 2 tbsp. apple cider
  • 8 pork loin chops, cut 1/2 inch thick
  • 1/2 of a 1 ounce. env. (4 tsp.) brown gravy mix

Method

  • In a 4-c. glass measure heat the butter in a microwave oven on high for 45-60 seconds.
  • Add in the bread crumbs, apple, raisins, onion, sage, 1/2 tsp.
  • salt, and 1/4 tsp.
  • pepper.
  • Toss to mix.
  • Add in 1 Tbsp.
  • cider to moisten.
  • Arrange 4 chops in 12 x 7 1/2 x 2 inch baking dish.
  • Spoon the apple mix over each chop.
  • Place the remaining chops atop stuffing.
  • Combine gravy mix with the remaining cider; brush over chops.
  • Micro-cook, covered, on medium high 14-18 min or possibly till chops are tender.
  • To serve, transfer chops to a platter.
  • Serves 4.
