Ingredients
- 2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6 c. flour (all-purpose)
Method
- Mix warm water, yeast and sugar together in large bowl.
- Let stand for 5 minutes.
- Add oil, egg and salt.
- Stir well.
- Slowly add flour, mixing well.
- Dough will be sticky.
- Cover bowl with plastic wrap and store in refrigerator until ready to roll out (at least 3 hours).
- It will keep about 3 days if refrigerated.
- Roll out on well floured board.
- Work in flour to keep from being too sticky to handle.
- Cut with biscuit cutter; dip cutter in flour. Place rolls on greased cookie sheet and let rise in warm place, about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Bake at 350° for about 12 minutes or until brown.
- Makes about 2 1/2 dozen medium sized rolls.
