Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. very warm water
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. warm water
- 1 egg, beaten
- 8 c. sifted plain flour
Method
- Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup water; cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, salt, yeast and 2 cups water and mix well.
- Add flour and mix thoroughly.
- Set in refrigerator and use as needed.
