Ingredients

  • 8 ounces wide egg noodles, uncooked
  • 1 cup golden raisin
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 12 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 13 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 3 cups corn flakes, coarsley crushed
  • 14 cup brown sugar, packed

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 350*.
  • Butter a 13x9x2 inch glass dish and spread the uncooked noodles over the bottom of the dish.
  • Sprinkle the raisins over the noodles.
  • Whisk the eggs, sour cream, butter and sugar in a large bowl until smooth and pour over the noodles.
  • Let stand for 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile mis the cornflakes and brown sugar, sprinkle evenly over the kugel.
  • Bake until the center is set, about 1 hour.
  • Cut into squares and serve warm or cold.
