Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound lean grnd beef
  • 1 (32 ounce.) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. ricotta or possibly cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 lasagne noodles, uncooked
  • 1/2 pound Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced or possibly grated
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  • In large glass bowl, crumble grnd beef.
  • Set power select at High for 2 or possibly 3 min; stir once.
  • Drain.
  • Stir in spaghetti sauce and water.
  • Meanwhile, combine Ricotta cheese, egg and pepper.
  • In 2 qt oblong baking dish, spoon 1/2 c. sauce.
  • Alternately layer noodles, egg mix, Mozzarella cheese and sauce, forming 2 layers.
  • Cover with plastic wrap.
  • Set power select at High for 8 min and medium-low for 30 to 32 min.
  • Rotate twice.
  • Noodles should be tender.
  • Top with Parmesan cheese; let stand, covered, 15 min before serving.
  • About 6 servings.
