Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • 2 jars Ragu sauce
  • 1 lb. lasagna noodles
  • chopped onions
  • mushrooms (canned or fresh)
  • seasonings to taste
  • 24 oz. cottage cheese, drained, or Ricotta cheese

Method

  • Brown ground beef and drain off all fat.
  • In large saucepot, mix Ragu, ground beef, onions, mushrooms and seasonings.
  • Bring to boil and let simmer for 45 minutes to an hour.
  • Cook noodles to desired doneness.
  • In a glass oblong casserole dish, layer ingredients in the following order:
  • noodles, sauce, Parmesan cheese, Ricotta and Mozzarella.
  • Finish with a layer of noodles topped with sauce.
  • Bake in a 375° oven for 1 hour.
  • Top with Mozzarella cheese.
  • Serve with salad and bread.
