Ingredients

  • 1 (9 oz.) box yellow or white Jiffy cake mix
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/4 c. hot tap water
  • 2 1/2 to 3 c. flour

Method

  • Combine cake mix, yeast and salt.
  • Add water and flour to make a soft dough (dough will be quite sticky).
  • Cover; let rise until double, 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
  • Stir down dough and spoon irregular balls of dough into bowl of flour to lightly cover.
  • Spoon into lightly greased muffin tins.
  • Cover and let rise until double, about 1 hour.
  • Bake at 400° for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
