  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 3 1/2 c. hot water
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. sugar

  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 chopped nuts (optional)
  • 4 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/3 c. hot water

  • Combine 3 1/2 c. hot water, margarine, 1 cup sugar and salt.
  • Mix until melted.

  • Sprinkle flour on counter and roll dough into a rectangle 8 x 42-inches, 1/2-inch thick.
  • Spread 1/3 cup melted butter over dough.
  • Mix 2 1/2 cups brown sugar, 1 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon and 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional) and sprinkle over dough.
  • Roll up like a jelly roll and cut into 1-inch slices.
  • Place in 6 (8 or 9-inch) cake pans. Let rise until double again.
  • Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Do not overbake.
