Ingredients

  • 1 34 cups all purpose flour
  • 12 teaspoon baking powder
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 12 cup white sugar
  • 34 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 cup chopped walnuts or 12 cup pecans

Method

  • 1.
  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  • 2.
  • Sift together flour, baking powder and salt, set aside.
  • In medium bowl
  • cream butter and sugar together with wooden spoon.
  • 3.
  • Add chocolate chips and nuts to butter/sugar mix and stir together.
  • 4.
  • Stir in dry ingredients - works best if you mix together with your hands.
  • Roll dough into walnut size balls.
  • Flatten cookies slightly with the.
  • palm of your hand and place on cookie sheet.
  • 5.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes (17 minute in my oven) until light golden
  • brown around edges.
  • Cookies will be soft in the middle but will firm up
  • as they cool.
  • 6.
  • Leave on cookie sheet for a couple minutes to let them firm up then
  • cool on racks.
  • Makes 2 dozen cookies.
