Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. plus 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 7 to 8 Tbsp. cold water
Method
- Mix together flour and salt.
- Use pastry blender to cut in shortening until pastry looks like coarse meal.
- Sprinkle 2 tablespoons at a time of cold water over mixture.
- Stir with a fork until the dough follows the fork around the bowl.
- Divide in half and chill.
- Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes.
