Ingredients

  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. crushed bananas
  • 1/2 c. applesauce
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. milk

Method

  • Soak fruits together. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon. Blend remaining ingredients.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to egg mixture. Blend very well. Add fruit mixture and stir well. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto nonstick baking sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 325°.
  • Yields about 6 dozen.
