Ingredients
- 4 1/2 c. milk
- 3 rounded Tbsp. yeast
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 6 c. flour
- 6 whole eggs
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. melted lard
- 6 tsp. salt
- 12 c. flour
Method
- Bring the milk to a boil; cool to lukewarm.
- Dissolve the yeast with the warm water.
- Mix and add 6 cups flour.
- Let set for 30 minutes, then add the beaten eggs and egg yolks.
- Add the remaining ingredients.
- Let rise until double, then roll and cut. Let rise, then deep fat fry in vegetable oil.
