Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (70/30 is best)
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup Tostitos Hint of Lime tortilla chips, crushed
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup Tostitos Hint of Lime chips, ground
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 12 slices mild cheddar cheese

Method

  • Combine the beef, Worcestershire, crushed chips and onions. Add salt and pepper to taste. Form 6 burgers. Chill at least one hour.
  • Preheat grill to medium high. Prior to grilling, coat the burgers in the ground tortilla chips. Grill hamburgers to desired doneness, turning only once. Prior to finishing, place one slice of cheese on each burger. Allow to melt over and 'frost' the burger with cheese.
  • Place the second slice of cheese on the bottom of each bun.
  • Double the onion, double the cheese!
