Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 4 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 2/3 c. margarine, softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 eggs
Method
- Melt chocolate, then combine all ingredients but eggs in mixing bowl.
- Mix well, then beat 2 minutes at medium speed with electric mixer.
- Add eggs; beat an additional 2 minutes.
- Spoon 1/4 of batter into each of 4 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans. Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes.
