Ingredients

  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. (16 oz. can) chocolate syrup
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp. mint extract
  • 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • green food coloring

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  • In large mixer bowl, beat flour, sugar, butter, eggs and syrup until smooth (first 5 ingredients).
  • Pour into prepared pan; bake 25 minutes. Cool completely in pan.
  • Spread Mint Cream Layer over cake (see following); chill.
  • Pour Chocolate Topping over dessert (see following).
  • Cover; chill.
