Ingredients
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 6 c. plain flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
Method
- Boil 1 cup water, add butter and shortening.
- Stir until melted.
- Add sugar and salt.
- Cool to lukewarm.
- Mix yeast in 1 cup warm water.
- When dissolved, add to mixture.
- Add 2 eggs.
- Add 6 cups flour or enough to make thick dough.
- Mix thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
