Ingredients

  • 3 strips bacon
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 2 heaping Tbsp. Dijon or other coarse brown mustard
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. basil
  • 1 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. crab boil
  • hot sauce to taste
  • 1 1/2 lb. peeled deveined uncooked medium shrimp

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • In large skillet, cook bacon, leaving drippings in pan.
  • Add butter or margarine to pan and bring to boil.
  • Add mustard, basil, pepper, onion and crab boil and reduce heat to simmer.
  • Add shrimp to mixture; stir well and cook 3 minutes.
  • Pour mixture in casserole dish; cover and cook 20 minutes in oven.
  • Serve over cooked pasta or rice.
