Ingredients
- unbaked 2-crust pie shell
- 5 or 6 pared, sliced apples
- 6 oz. can frozen apple juice
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. water
- cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Fill pie shell with sliced apples.
- Heat apple juice to boiling.
- Dissolve cornstarch in water and stir into hot juice. Cook until thickened.
- Sprinkle cinnamon over apples.
- Dot with butter.
- Pour juice over all and cover with upper crust.
- Prick crust.
- Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 350° and bake until done, 35 to 45 minutes.
