Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in melted chocolate.
  • Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream.
  • Mix well.
  • Stir in walnuts.
  • Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheets.
  • Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Frost cool cookies with the following:
  • 3 cups confectioners sugar, 1 teaspoon butter and few drops lemon juice.
  • Sprinkle with crushed nuts.
