- 12 cup butter, softened
- 1 12 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 34 cups flour
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 13 cup butter, softened
- 1 12 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 -2 tablespoon milk
- food coloring
Method
- Cookies:.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream together butter and sugar.
- Add eggs and mix, then melted chocolate.
- Blend sour cream and vanilla in a small bowl.
- In another bowl, sift or thoroughly mix dry ingredients.
- Alternate adding the sour cream blend and the dry ingredients to the mixture and mix until blended.
- Drop by tablespoons on greased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.
- Frosting:.
- In a medium bowl, mix powdered sugar and butter with electric mixer on low speed or with a spoon.
- Stir in vanilla and 1 Tbsp milk.
- Gradually beat in just enough remaining milk to make frosting smooth and spreadable.
- Add a few drops of food coloring until desired color is reached.
