Ingredients

  • 1 lb. loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 4 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 lb. lean pork sausage
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 3 cans tomatoes, chopped and drained
  • 1/2 c. fresh sliced mushrooms

Method

  • Grease 14 x 2-inch pizza pan.
  • On flour dusted surface, roll dough into 16-inch circle.
  • Press into bottom and 1 1/2-inch up sides of pan.
  • Sprinkle with 3 cups Mozzarella.
  • Crumble sausage over cheese.
  • Top with oregano, tomatoes, mushrooms and remaining cheese.
  • Place in 500° oven.
  • Immediately reduce to 400°.
  • Bake 40 to 50 minutes.
  • Remove pizza when crust is golden and sausage is cooked through.
