Ingredients

  • 5 c. flour (I like whole wheat)
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 5 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. All-Bran
  • 2 c. wheat germ
  • 2 c. 40% bran flakes
  • 2 c. chopped dates
  • 2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 qt. buttermilk
  • 1 c. cooking oil

Method

  • Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.
  • Set aside. Combine remaining ingredients in 6-quart bowl.
  • Mix well.
  • Add dry ingredients, stirring just enough to moisten.
  • Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full.
  • Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.
