Ingredients
- 4 c. sugar
- 1 lb. dates, chopped
- 1 c. nuts
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. milk
Method
- Mix all ingredients together in large kettle.
- Stir and bring to a rolling boil for 8 minutes.
- Remove from heat; beat until stiff.
- Shape mixture into loaf and chill for 24 hours.
- Slice to serve.
- (I add nuts and vanilla after it is cooked.)
