Ingredients
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 c. sliced dates
Method
- Mix the baking powder, salt and flour.
- Mix dates and nuts through the flour with fingertips.
- Beat eggs until light.
- Beat in sugar gradually.
- Stir in dry ingredients, nuts and dates. Spread mixture evenly over pan lined with paper or well-greased and dusted with flour.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until the surface will spring back when pressed lightly with one finger. Cut in strips 1 x 4-inches.
- Will make 18 bars.
