Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage meat (room temperature)
  • 6 slices stale and toasted bread, make into crumbs
  • 6 small hard-boiled eggs, peeled
  • 1 small raw egg, beaten

Method

  • Beat raw egg.
  • Mix sausage and 1/2 of bread crumbs well. Season boiled eggs with salt and pepper; pull off part of sausage mixture (about golf ball size) and flatten in your hand.
  • Roll boiled egg in beaten egg and wrap completely with sausage, leaving no holes.
  • Roll sausage covered egg in beaten egg again and in bread crumbs.
  • Bake at 325° for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Serve hot or cold.
