Ingredients
- 1 lb. sausage meat (room temperature)
- 6 slices stale and toasted bread, make into crumbs
- 6 small hard-boiled eggs, peeled
- 1 small raw egg, beaten
Method
- Beat raw egg.
- Mix sausage and 1/2 of bread crumbs well. Season boiled eggs with salt and pepper; pull off part of sausage mixture (about golf ball size) and flatten in your hand.
- Roll boiled egg in beaten egg and wrap completely with sausage, leaving no holes.
- Roll sausage covered egg in beaten egg again and in bread crumbs.
- Bake at 325° for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Serve hot or cold.
