Ingredients

  • 4 c. sliced tart apples
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. granola (not heavily sweetened)
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. chopped spiced crab apple
  • sprinkling of raisins
  • 3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • dash of ginger
  • dash of cloves
  • 1/3 c. softened margarine or butter

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Arrange apples in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish or pan.
  • Cover with crab apples and raisins.
  • Mix remaining ingredients until crumbly.
  • Layer over top of apples and press lightly.
  • Bake approximately 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
