Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 pkg. (.21 ounce. each) unsweetened soft drink mix (any flavor)
  • 8 c. cool water
  • 2 cans (46 ounce. each) unsweetened pineapple juice (chilled)
  • 4 bottles (33.8 ounce. each) ginger ale, chilled
  • 1 bottle (4/5 qt) rum or possibly vodka (optional)

Method

  • In 10 qt punch bowl, dissolve sugar and drink.
  • Fold in cool water.
  • Stir in pineapple juice.
  • Slowly add in ginger ale.
  • May be "spiked" with rum or possibly vodka if you like.
  • Just before serving, add in ice.
  • Tropical Punch flavor is a favorite for the holidays.
  • Makes 60 (5 oz) servings.
