Ingredients
- 4 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. butter
- 3 eggs
Method
- Sift together the flour, soda and salt.
- Cream butter and slowly stir in sugar.
- Beat until smooth; add eggs one at a time and beat well.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Stir in flour mixture, mixing well.
- Cover dough and chill until firm enough to roll out.
- Roll out on floured board, making dough 1/4-inch thick.
- Cut out with cookie cutters and place on greased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8 minutes at 350°.
