Ingredients
- 4 medium cucumbers, thinly sliced
- 2 red onions, thinly sliced
- 1 c. vinegar
- salt
- 1 c. water
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
Method
- In 2-quart casserole, layer cucumbers and onions. Sprinkle with salt. Repeat layers and salt. Cover tightly and drain off liquid every hour for 3 hours. Combine water, vinegar and sugar. Cover vegetables with this mixture and cover tightly. Refrigerate overnight.
