Ingredients
- 3/4 c. wheat germ
- 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. chopped chives
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1/4 c. wheat germ
- 1 Tbsp. milk
Method
- Combine 3/4 cup wheat germ, flour, chives and salt.
- Cut in butter until coarse like meal.
- Add egg and 1 tablespoon milk; mix well.
- Pinch off dough and shape into 3 1/2-inch long sticks. Brush with 1 tablespoon milk and roll in 1/4 cup wheat germ.
- Bake at 425° on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Serves 12.
