Ingredients
- 4 firm green tomatoes
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
- salt
- pepper
Method
- Slice tomatoes.
- Dip slices into egg and then crumbs.
- Melt butter in large skillet.
- Add tomato slices.
- Cook, turning once, until golden brown.
- Season to taste.
- Makes 4 servings.
