  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 loaf Texas Toast Or Another Thick Bread (pre-sliced)
  • Butter Or Oil, For Cooking French Toast
  • FOR THE COATING:
  • 4 Tablespoons Cinnamon, Or To Taste
  • 3/4 cups Sugar

Method

  • 1. For the French toast, mix dry ingredients (salt, flour, baking powder, and sugar) in a medium bowl.
  • 2. In a large bowl, mix eggs, vanilla extract, and milk.
  • 3. Add dry to wet ingredients (batter may be lumpy and that is ok).
  • 4. In a separate bowl/plate, mix the coating ingredients together.
  • 5. Get a skillet and heat up a capful of oil/butter on medium-high heat.
  • 6. Take your Texas toast and dip bread in the batter and then add to the skillet.

  • 8. Then take the cooked toast and add to the cinnamon/sugar mixture shaking to remove excess sugar.
  • 9. Serve with your favorite syrup and breakfast side dish.
  • Note: these can be frozen in a freezer safe bag. To reheat just place in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
