Ingredients
- 1 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Method
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla.
- Beat well.
- Combine flour, cocoa, salt and soda and add to creamed mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350° for 8 to 9 minutes.
- (Do not overbake; cookies will be soft.
- They will puff while baking and flatten while cooling.)
